Works as expected until in a sunny room when the menu cannot even be seen on the screen, so, unable to operate.

Really excellent projector. It does have to be completely dark to get the full experience, but just what you expect from a projector.

I should have researched this more thoroughly but had to return unit because you need WiFi for it to work and, even if WiFi is available, it is not compatible with iPhones.

Overall I’m happy with the purchase and don’t regret buying it and prefer it over a TV any day but if you’re after ultra hd, ultimate image and sound quality and compatibility and something you’d use in the living room to replace a TV I’d splash out a little extra and maybe look for slightly higher range projectors. But if you’re wanting something for just your bedroom with good image quality and the basic streaming platforms this projector is perfectly ideal for you. My pros and cons are below for further context. Pros: - Lightweight - Fairly quick to launch and comes with a little remote so you don’t have to get up and fiddle with the projector itself anytime you want to turn it on or off - Good image quality that goes up to 1080p - Sound quality on its own without needing to connect to speakers is surprisingly decent and there a decent volume range, especially for a small to medium bedroom. - You can make the projection larger by moving the projector further away from the wall. - You can adjust the corners (angles). -There is a focus setting that you can click to calibrate the image quality if it fails to focus and becomes blurry. - There’s also an auto adjustment setting that analyses your wall space and automatically adjusts the projection size and shape for you. - A lot of the main streaming platforms work on it Netflix, Disney, prime, YouTube etc but Apple TV is an issue and I’ll write why in the cons section. - You have access to loads of diff apps with the google App Store - You have features like timed shutdown so if you’re watching something in bed it’ll shut down automatically after 15, 30, 60 mins - You have all the usual settings such as image and colour settings, connection to WiFi, brightness etc Cons: - Initial setup takes a bit of getting used to in terms of knowing how best to angle the projector for your wall and figuring out all the focus and adjustment settings but honestly once you figure it out it’s easy from then - Sometimes it can make a humming noise which can be a little distracting if you’re easily distracted (it never gets louder than the speaker itself thankfully) but other times it’s completely normal and doesn’t make much sound, it’s sort of random really or maybe depends on what app you’re using and how long it’s been on for - The image quality is great for me because I personally don’t need everything to be ultra 4k, just being HD is good enough for me but sometimes the image quality will need calibrating in settings for best focus - I have an Apple phone and on all the websites I checked before purchasing the projector is said screen share is possible, which it technically is but only with apps you download on the projectors App Store, usually paid annually apps. I have one called AirScreen and it works but it’s a small fee every year. Shouldn’t be a problem if you’re looking to use streaming apps and not connect to your phone screen though. - Apple TV is technically listed on the apps and you can launch the app but if you try to actually watch anything there will be no sound due to audio compatibility issues. So if you’ve purchased or rented movies on your Apple TV app don’t bother trying to watch them on the projector. Just rent or buy from YouTube or the google movies and shows app itself. All in all for the price it’s the ideal projector for me; I just wanted something that would allow me to have a mini cinema experience in my room with a much larger screen than a TV, more practical and easy to store than a TV. The image quality goes up to 1080p which is perfect for me and the sound quality is decent, it’s not terrible or muffled or distorted, it’s not surround system speaker quality either, obviously - it’s just good. I’m glad I bought it and use it most days in bed and love it but if you’re really into tech and want the best image and sound quality but still on a budget and cheaper than a TV maybe look into the £500+ projectors instead.
