Olympus Crop Frame Φωτογραφικός Φάκος M.Zuiko ED Pro 40-150 mm f/4.0 Pro

Olympus (OM) make fantastic lenses and this is no exception. It’s small(ish) light, feels buttery smooth in operation and focuses very quickly. Image quality is excellent. It was a toss up whether I went for the f2.8 or newer f4 version. The older f2.8 is more flexible in that it has more light gathering ability and can be used in conjunction with a converter. However the trade off is that it is a larger, heavier and more expensive lens. Image quality is the same so a lot depends on what you want to use the lens for. Happy with my choice as I will get a longer focus pro lens in due course

Its small and light and the lens is crisp. Everything I wanted in a travel lens. On my OM D E Mk111 it feels good and the 35mm equivalent of 80mm to 300mm serves a number of uses from portrait to landscape to wildlife. A true all around lens.

Good focal length in an easy to carry and walkabout. f4 is good enough in most lighting conditions. Considering the image quality and small size, this lens is a very good value for money for the amateur photographer.

Good Points: Light weight, optical quality, good build quality Improvement Points: Not much.

Good Points: Very light to carry, optics excellent Improvement Points: Not able to focus manually other than via the camera body setting

Good Points: Size weight- low….quality of lens- high ease of use excellent Balance against OM-5 excellent Improvement Points: N/A

Good Points: Lightweight, sharp wide open. High build quality. Improvement Points: Has to be extended to turn it on, I would rather have it a fixed length as it is still short extended. Can't use a TC, cost cutting I suppose.
