Happy Hippo is an exciting new course for kindergarten pupils who have not had contact with English before. It is beautifully illustrated and full of fun activities which encourage language learning without reading or writing, as well as the development of both fine and gross motor skills.

Kindergarten pupils will take their first steps in English in an age-appropriate manner with the help of Harry the Hippo and his family, and charming stories featuring kindergarten pupils Lucy and Luke which provide a familiar setting for pupils’ first experience of learning English.

Happy Hippo is divided into 5 two-unit modules which cover the kindergarten curriculum (All about me, autumn, winter, spring & summer). Each unit presents and practises two basic language sets such as family members, numbers 1-5, clothes and weather. The course is suitable for different teaching situations such as kindergarten classrooms & language centre classrooms.
