God of Good Looks

Bianca Bridge has always dreamt of being a writer.

But those dreams are derailed by a scandalous affair that leaves her blacklisted by Trinidadian society. The only work she can get is as a model - a career that would make her much-missed mother turn in her grave, and one she's sure her powerful father disapproves of.

Obadiah Cortland, make-up artist and legend in the Trinidadian beauty community is looking for an assistant: one with connections to help his OC Beauty business become the success he's determined it should be. But only a person with no other options would tolerate his legendary rudeness ...

When the self-styled God Of Good Looks offers the job to the headstrong Miss Bridge she reluctantly accepts. But as she comes to discover the art behind the make-up artistry she realises she may have been wrong in her ideas about beauty, but also about her own potential to fight back against the Trinidadian elite. And when the cracks begin to show in Obadiah's carefully crafted facade she realises she might just be wrong about him too...

Could it be that the man who has made his reputation transforming others, has performed the greatest transformation on himself?

Sparkling, big-hearted and life-affirming, The God of Good Looks is novel about prejudice and pride, the masks we wear and the power of second chances.
