In eighteen years of existence and soon with five albums to their credit, the French duo Arca - composed of Joan Cambon * and Sylvain Chauveau ** - have defined a unique musical universe based on sound research and melody. Its name refers to the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa: the word “arca” means “trunk” in Portuguese (Pessoa used to drop off most of his writings in a trunk which was not discovered until after his death).
